(Apowaa’kasii)
It brings us great sadness to announce the sudden passing of our Dear Son, Brother, and Grandson, Ronn Klay Across the Mountain, on April 24th, 2023 @ Raymond Alberta.
Ronn best Known as Klay (Juicy) to all the family, was born on June 28th, 2018, in Lethbridge, Alberta. Klay is survived by his loving parents Ronn Gideon Across the Mountain and Destiny Lee Morning Owl, his siblings Carly, Mila Morning Owl and Zakk Across the Mountain. Grand-Parents: Ronn and Margaret McDonald (ATM) and Faith Morning Owl and Leon Good Dagger, Great-Grand Parent: Dale Rabbit. Uncles; Shawn (Allison) ATM, Darcy Morning Owl, Clayton, Tazz Maine Good Dagger, Seth Red Crow, and Koby Eagle Plume. Aunties; Domanique (Koose) Good Dagger, Jessica (Odell) ATM and Lakita (Asiago) Morning Bird, Special Cousin Nitana Morning Owl, Special Aunt and Uncle; Mary-Ann (Les) ATM, and many cousins and extended family.
Klay loved his family, and his family loved him. He began his day waking up every morning telling his parents he had a good sleep and always reminded us that he loved us, and he was our best friend. He got himself ready with his favorite clothes and his favorite shoes, (his Sonics or his exercising shoes) you would often find Klay listening on YouTube in his living room on his big tv, he loved making dances and acting them out for his parents and siblings. He was his dad's boss; he knew he would do anything and everything for him. He would often look out for his brother and tell his parents when Zakkie was in the wrong, he loved to play outside with his baby brother Zakkie. You knew when he had a favorite song because he would play it repeatedly. He enjoyed visiting his Aunty Domanique so he could spend time together with one of his favorite cousins Nitana, together they would do damage, and no one could tell them no. Klay followed his older sister’s whenever he got a chance, and it would always end with him and mom going on a bike ride together. He loved riding his Spiderman bike and was immensely proud to have his mom riding along with him. His parents got him his favorite toys and he always had what he wanted from his favorite store Wal-Mart.
Klay had a remarkably close bond with his grandparents Ron and Margaret ATM, often visiting their home he left a trail of toys right through the house always competing for his papa’s attention. He let everyone in the house know he was there and would look forward to seeing his Great Aunt Mary Anne and (Guy) Les ATM because Les would always venture out and take him walking through the hills, they often had toys because they knew how much he loved his toys. Klay would visit his Aunty Jessica in Glenwood. He would boss around Odell, and they did whatever he asked. He knew they would take him to the park and let him play until it got dark. Klay loved the outdoors, and he was enormously proud of his home and his family
Klay was predeceased by his great-grandparents: Joe (Lizzie) ATM, Edwardina Morning Owl and Clearence Medicine Crane, Margaret Rabbit, and many family members: Small Eyes, Medicine Cranes, Standing Alone, Hairy Bull, Bare Shin Bone.
Klay will be missed by all that had the chance to get to know him, he always greeted you with a big Hello and his beautiful smile. He had a unique way of making his presence known.
A Wake Service will be held at the Across The Mountain residence, 140E 200N, Raymond, Alberta on Tuesday, May 9 from 5:00 pm - all night.
