It is with great sadness that the family of BARBARA ANNE (BOYER) BAKER announce her passing on April 18th, 2019 at the age of 71. Barb leaves a legacy of a wonderful family including her husband Doug of 51 years and her children Tanya (Richard) Wright, Troy (Virginia), Terri, Tyler (Amanda), Todd (Neisa), Tate (Loralie), Tamanda (Jesse) Glenn, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 4 brothers Dave/Champ (Colleen), Russ/Lucky, Jeff/Blackie (Debra), and Rock (Suzanne), and countless other family and friends. Barbara is predeceased by her parents, Dave and Olive Boyer, her son, Troy and her grandson, Cooper.
Barbara was born and raised in Calgary, where she met and married the love of her life, Doug, in 1967. They moved to Leavitt in 1974, where they found their dream farm with “the perfect view” and raised their family together. She worked at the Cardston Seminary for more than 20 years and worked with the Cardston Community Theatre. She was a loving and supportive mother to her children, a caring and playful grandma to her grandkids, and a person to turn to for love, encouragement, and a good laugh for everyone she knew. She served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and within her community. She loved spending time outside in the Spring and Summer and working in her garden. Whether she was dressing up, playing with the grandchildren, getting the family together, cooking way too much for everyone, embarrassing her family on their birthday, being fashionably late, or raising awesome children, she was loved by all.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missionary fund.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston WEST Stake Center (On Waterton Hwy.) on
