Thea inherited Alan’s strong work ethics and Tara’s organization, crafting and cleaning skills. Big sister Tia was often left in charge of Thea and always made sure Thea was dressed in style and had the perfect hairdo before mom and dad got home from work. When nephew Trontay was born, Thea became a big sister. Trontay & Thea were close, although they would fight over papa Alan, they could never go without each other. Thea enjoyed many family drives with her parents and siblings. The family often took trips to Browning to visit their Young Running Crane family. After the passing of Alan, Thea formed a close bond with dad Frank and was taken on many adventures with Mom Tara, Dad Frank and her nephews. Auntie Eddy also had a close bond with Thea and often spoiled her with treats, later it was clothes and hair appointments. Thea received her education from kindergarten to grade 12 all in Cardston. Her time at IGA Val Shipley became a mentor for Thea, even after employment. Later Thea would be employed at BTEST & often found motivation from mentor Chelsea Day Rider. She graduated with a certificate of completion in the life skills & training program. Her hobbies included beading, artwork, reading books, coloring, collecting coloring books, baking, decorating, and watching movies. No matter the weather she would insist on wearing slippers and often called around to who she could to ask if they could get her a slurpee or munchies. Thea loved spending time with her family and helped raise her nieces and nephews. She would often chauffeur her adopted children CJ and Bailey Wells around in sister Tia and Husky wells truck, to their sporting games or just to town to buy supper. Thea shared a special bond with her sisters: Christina from childhood and River from high school. Thea held her cousins and friends close, often referring to them as her brothers and sisters. Thea enjoyed cruising and listening to music with sister’s Cassie and Margaret and at times getting into “trouble.” Cousin After the loss of her parents, Thea found comfort in aunt Rosabelle, sister Tia and Husky Wells and made her home at mom Christine’s. She would often help mom Christine clean and decorate for the holidays. Thea and Christina would often be given nicknames by Mom Christine and adopted brother Tyrone like, “the twin towers,” “my anchors,” “japan and china,” and “sumo wrestlers.” Most recently they were given the nickname’s “Ducky and Bunny” from Toy Story 4 by nephew Jalynn.
