Warren Lawrence Beebe
July 7, 1969-August 17, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Warren Beebe from the Kainai Nation on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021.
Warren is survived by his sons Kyle Beebe and Joel Simon; his grandson Dominic; his special friend Charnell Smalleyes; his mother Elizabeth Big Head; his siblings Donna Beebe, Pamela Beebe (Tito), Gordon Beebe (Danielle), Ellie Beebe, Wayna Beebe (Bueford), Jessica Shaw, Adam Shaw, Lyndon Scott (Wanda), James Scott (Anita), Penella Cardinal (Jake), Crystal Scott, and Blue Scott, and his god-daughter Tai-Ann Scott; numerous nieces and nephews including Taylor, Kali, Max, Anthony, Derrick, Geordie, Jared, Matt, Nicholas, Lucas, Ayla, Emma, Mia, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Savaughna, Jacob, Leeann, Brodie and Veronica, whom he absolutely loved; and all of his cousins who he took as his siblings. He was predeceased by his father Wayne Beebe, his brothers Shawn Big Head and Peter Big Head Jr. (PJ), his nephews Zach Beebe and Stephen Joseph Scott, his parents Wesley and Veronica Scott, his grandparents Howard and Mabel Beebe, George Scout and Rose Yellowfeet.
Our Warren was a strong protector of all who were dear to him, but most importantly he was a big teddy bear with a huge heart, who loved to laugh. Warren grew up in Standoff, Fort Macleod, Edmonton and Calgary. Warren's intelligence enabled him to pursue and complete the Civil Engineering Technologist Program with a Diploma from Lethbridge College and an Engineering Degree from the University of Calgary. After graduation he worked for many high profile companies such as Marra Concrete, City Wide Excavating & Paving, Kainai Food Bank Society, Standard General, Truss Ltd, KAM Excavating, Enmax Power Corp., International Utility Structures, and Kellam Berg Engineering and Surveys.
In the past few years he lived in Standoff caring for his mom Elizabeth and brothers PJ and Shawn. There he worked for the Blood Tribe Housing Building Systems as a Procurement Officer. They, like everyone who knew him, were constantly amazed by his love of laughter, his vast professional knowledge and his superior mathematical and memory skills. His mother, Elizabeth, will not only remember him as the young boy who was too quick and agile to be spanked but also as a boy standing tall and proud for earning a hockey trophy. His favorite Hockey Team was the Montreal Canadiens and all the teams that played against the Calgary Flames, especially the Edmonton Oilers. He was an avid pool player and played for Calgary and Lethbridge Pool Leagues. He loved being with his friends and family from all over Southern Alberta. He will be especially remembered for his thoughtfulness and quick-witted charm. Warren, our friend, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, partner, and son will be greatly missed.
Warren’s family would like to thank the EMT’s, the Lethbridge Regional Hospital Emergency and ICU staff and the Legacy Funeral Staff for all their help, kindness and hard work.
A Wake service will be held at Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 6:00 pm - All night. The Funeral service will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Monday, August 23 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Blood Reserve, AB.
