October 17, 1947 - May 9, 2024
October 17, 1947 - May 9, 2024
In loving memory of our darling mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend, Patti Bevans, who passed away peacefully in her home May 9, 2024.
Patricia Diane Johnson Bevans was born on October 17, 1947, in Raymond, AB. The second oldest of 9 children to Jesse and Elinor Johnson.
Patti was predeceased by her parents Jesse and Elinor Johnson, her sisters Marlene Alcorn and Tracy Smathers, her brothers Harold Striped Wolf, Fred Johnson and Kevin Johnson.
Patti is survived by siblings Sheila (Rolf) Michel, Lonny (Linda) Johnson, Nick Striped Wolf and sisters-in-law Carol Johnson and Debra Johnson.
She will be greatly missed by her loving children:
Tyler (Kylis)Bevans, Angela Lacey, Cody Bevans, Matt (Josie) Bevans, Chansy (Kris) Homan.
Her beautiful grandchildren:
Brody Bevans, Sara Bevans, Bryn Lacey, Tate Lacey, Bridger Lacey, Maya Lacey (Aubrey) Gregson, Cannon Lacey, Braden Leavitt, Haley (Tanner) Jackson, Kaylin (Joshua) Judd, Hannah Bevans, Ethan Bevans, Alyssa Bevans, Carly Bevans, Weston Bevans, Brooke Homan, Jayde Homan and Jack Homan.
Great Grandchildren:
Silver Bevans and Ivy Judd
After her youngest sister’s passing, Patti maintained a very special relationship with Tracy’s children, promising they would never be without a mother’s/grandmother’s love. That special relationship leaves Rikki Smathers (Riley) Kerr and Kade Johnson along with grandchildren Roper Webb, Rowdy Kerr and Shelby Johnson.
Patti was the ultimate example of integrity, love, selfless service, and had an unshakeable faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. She knew no other way but to devote her life to her Saviour.
Patti lived for her family but especially her children. There was nothing more important than family and if you spent much time in her home, it wouldn’t be long before you were claimed as part of the crew. She was a mom to so many, she was Aunt Patti to even more and as her grandchildren grew and brought in more friends she became grandma to countless others.
She had so much love to give, we have been blessed by her example and her legacy of kind and quiet service.
We will miss you Mom, We Love You.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center (on the Waterton Highway) on Thursday, May 16th, at 11:00 a.m.
