BLACK PLUME
It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of BRAXTON WAYNE BLACK PLUME GOODSTRIKER, in the early morning hours of Tuesday December 31st, 2019 at the age of six months old, in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Braxton was born on Friday June 28th, 2019 at the Chinook Regional Hospital to his loving parents Whitney Hunt Goodstriker and Jared Black Plume and his two loving sisters Sophia and Braylee Goodstriker. His special uncle Jaylin Goodstriker, His special cousin’s Julius Goodstriker Wolf Plume, Sanders White Man, Chase Chuckwudi, Layla & Rosetta Delaney, Brendan and Tianna Plume.
Braxton was also survived by his loving grandparents Corey and Marilyn (Hunt) Goodstriker, Mike & Kay Deranger, and Jerry & Joanne Black Plume and Lisa & Ken White Man. By his Great-grandmothers Sheila Hunt, Emily Goodstriker & Diane Plume. His Maternal Uncles Myles & Trisha Hunt Goodstriker (Tanayah, Dominic, Drae, Darwin and Damon), Jaylin and his Maternal Aunt’s Katie Hunt Goodstriker & Colin Wolf Plume(Julius) and Bailey Hunt Goodstriker & Tylo Gros Ventre Boy and His Paternal Aunts Anna Plume (Rhys Williams), Tabitha White Man & Monty Big Throat (Mariah, Tatianna, Audrina) and Dion and Tasha White Man (Nia, Ava), and Jim White Man.
Braxton was predeceased by his maternal Aunt Sonya Anne Goodstriker by his Maternal Great Grandfather’s, Paul Day Chief, Phillip (Dusty) Aberdeen Jr., Great Grandmother Hilda Smith Day Chief and Great-Great Grandparents Ronald and Jane Daychief & Phillip Sr and Daisy Aberdeen and Bob & Lost Bird Hunt and Frank & Beatrice Goodstriker.
Braxton was also predeceased by his paternal Great Grandparents, Rosaline and Jim Shot Both Sides, Eva and Willie Plain Woman, Lawrence Black Plume, Wayne and Albertine Plume.
Braxton has many relatives from the Hunt, Goodstriker, Deranger, Aberdeen, Day Chief, Healy, Black Plume, Plume, Big Throat, White Man, Weasel Moccasin, Weasel Heads and Hoof families. The family apologizes for any one that was missed.
Although his life was short, Braxton came into this world to teach his family unconditional love. Braxton was such an inquisitive little man, he took in his surroundings with such awe. He always needed his mother and sister’s nearby, if they were not by his side he would search the room with his big beautiful eyes until he saw them. Braxton was also such an important part of his uncle Jaylin’s life, and now Braxton will always be his parent’s precious angel and they will hold him again in heaven one day.
Braxton was loved by all who met him, and will be greatly missed.
The Wake Service will be at the White Calf Hall, Standoff on Wednesday, Jan. 8th, 2020 from 7:00 p. m. all night. The Funeral Mass will be at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Thursday, Jan. 9th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in One Spot Cemetery, Blood Reserve.
