ANGELA “TIA” DAWN BLOOD, passed away on June 2, 2023 in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 25 years.
With a smile on my face a pounding in my heart, with no cure, no parent should ever have to face, the loss of a child. Angela also known as TIA, was more then this drug addict you have all come to know. Well here's the Tia nobody knew. Kaylee Sherdian Blood or Angela Tia Dawn Blood where the names I had picked out for when she was born. October 13, 1997, 4:10 pm with 26 hours of labor and finally a bouncing 7 pound baby girl. When Devon saw her he says "Welcome Tia, your name is Angela Tia Dawn Blood, I am your father Devon Blood and this is your mother Dolly-Ann Cotton" . Mind you before all this, while I was on delivery table, he fainted, then comes to it. Then say these precious words of encouragement. To a relationship that would be unforgettable. Tia came with a personality that would more then light up a room, her charm would sure to gladden you. Tia was a definite daddy's girl, where dad went you'd sure to find Tia holding his hand or sitting on his shoulders. Their bond was unbreakable, a relationship that all father's and daughter's should have. The tender age of 3 she started school, Mrs. Medicine Crane as her teacher. Mrs. Medicine Crane said I will take her home if she doesn't like it. Mrs. Medicine Crane says, "I MYSELF WILL DRIVE HER HOME" So I waited patiently. The day never came, Tia loved school. That day forward, Tia set her dreams to make a difference in her world and our world. Many times Tia changed her mind to wanting to be, a lawyer, a vet, a child councillor. A lawyer, because her dad had charges, a vet because she lost her first cat named Midnite, a child councillor because at the tender age of 9 Tia's father passed away. Like most little girls her mind changed more then this but these were the 3 main ones that where always brought up. Tia got a little older, still spending all her days with dad. Many walks and talks. That to this day I wish I knew what they talked about, and what the walked about. Our sun child as we both called her. Devon spent all his days and nights with her. After her 9th birthday we received the hardest news any family should never receive. Gino Devon Blood passed. Our Hope's, Our Dreams, Our Light, Our Father of the greatest family in the world. We where almost perfect with one girl and one boy plus with a million dollar family holding our belts together. After this Tia, changed its was so noticeable and so heart breaking. Tia closed up, she was this vibrant, charismatic, obedient daddy’s little girl. Tia stopped smiling, stopped laughing, stopped talking. I did my best to pull her out of this with counselling, for 5 years, but that wasn't good enough. Tia was never the same and with a smile on my face, I'd tell her all you have to do today, is smile for me once, then I will leave you alone. Well that was sure to bring her out with little to small gestures and convincing. I had my little girl back but by this time she was 12 a lot was happening to her in her little life. It was good. So Tia began her dreams again of what she wanted to be when she grew up. Most of all that she stuck with was wanted to go to Culinary art school, she loved food. Tia made it to grade 10 mind you the education system failed her. Failed her, failed dreams. Again she descended into sadness and found the cold world of addiction in alcohol. I life I wanted to forget about, because my parents where alcoholics. I was so mad at what she put her self in and what she put her self through. I saw no hope or light in sight. Life changed on December, 18 2015 my birthday I get this letter from Tia, since It was my birthday and I never drink I decided to drink with Roxanne and Tim's boys. This letter sat at my bedside for 3 days. I decide to take the letter and read it. Big letters it says "WELCOME TO THE GRANDMA LIST" My heart was filled with joy again. Our little family is growing. Tia met Tommy at age 12 but started dating at 13 from then on Tia decided this was her soulmate. A life she wanted, she made. Tia found her calling June 23, 2016 Teshiera Tayla Dreazlyn Ann-Haze was born. Tia became a mother. My little girl she will always be became a mother and I a Grandmother not just any grandma a G'mama. Tia began her dreams again of going back to school getting her high school diploma then enter into the Culinary art school. Tia wanted so much for her daughter, for her family. 3 years ago Tia descended back into darkness not with alcohol but with drugs and here we are today. My beautiful 25 year old baby girl has passed.
