MILDRED PEARL BURROWS joined her family in heaven on Monday March 2nd, 2020. Mildred (best known as Millie) was born Tuesday August 2nd, 1927 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to the late Charles Leigh Lewellyn George and Elsie Alvira Jane Clark. She was an only child.
Mildred was a survivor of the tuberculosis epidemic in Edmonton when she was 14-18 years old. She later joined the Mormon Church and married Robert Charles Crossfield -deceased and they had 5 children. All living: Heather Isaacson, Robert Crossfield, Gail Blackmore, Opal Harwell, Scott Crossfield. They later divorced and Millie happily married Norman Dean Burrows - deceased.
Mildred loved to crochet. Many of her pieces of work are owned by so many people. She loved to make items and would give them away to almost everyone she knew. She was a Geriatric practical nurse and loved to care for the elderly. Mildred was a devout member of the Mormon Church and faithfully attended the Temple Sessions. Her greatest Love was genealogy and she would work endless hours writing and re-writing and gathering information and would hope to find that she would be related to you.
Mildred leaves to cherish her loving memory her children: Heather: 3 children and 12 grandchildren - Robert: 4 children and 11 grandchildren - Gail: 11 children and 29 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild - Opal: 8 children and 12 grandchildren - Scott: Who had no children but took care of our mother for many years in her old age.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mountain View, Alberta on Friday, March 13th, at 11:30 a.m.
Friends may meet the family at the Church from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. prior to the Service. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences may be sent by CLICKING HERE.
