It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of GLORIA PAULINE HERGET BURT, beloved wife of Richard, in Cardston on November 30, 2016 at the age of 73 years. Gloria was born in Lethbridge on June 1, 1943, the daughter of John Herget and Melba Sheen Herget.
Gloria married Richard Burt, the son of Bruce and Druscilla Burt, on June 30, 1965 and they enjoyed 51 wonderful years together. Her legacy is her five wonderful children: Christopher (Bernita), Jeffrey (Ann), Allan, Jennifer (David Taylor) and Catherine (Spencer Ord), and her 18 grandchildren, who will miss her very much.
She served faithfully and diligently in her many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also served in many occupational positions and was a teacher in Cardston for two years. Her last employment was as a custodian in the Alberta Temple. She was friendly and outgoing and was liked by all those she met. She will be remembered by all to be thoughtful and kind.
She was predeceased by her parents and one sister-in-law, Jane Burt.
Friends may meet the family at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston ONLY on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TEMPLE STREET CHAPEL Cardston on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 p .m. Interment in the Taylorville Cemetery.
