In loving memory of
Marilyn Kaye Cahoon
January 2, 1939 – February 25, 2024
It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we mourn the passing of Marilyn Kaye Cahoon of Peachland B.C. on February 25, 2024, at the age of 85 years.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Eva, Tom Ted, Marie and Arlene, her parents Le Roy Wilson and Ella Wilson (nee Haslam) as well as her daughter Kimberly Anne Cahoon.
She is survived, and dearly missed by her Husband Jim, her son Rick, her grand children Jake, Tim and Donovan, as well as her great grandchildren Zoe, Ada and Raya.
Marilyn was born in Cardston Alberta, grew up on the farm in Leavitt, where she attended her primary grades of schooling. She attended Cardston High School, until she was lured away to commence her career in banking. In her banking career, she rose from the bottom to the very top attainable for a woman!!!
Marilyn had an unlimited amount of energy. Energy that she firstly, put into improving the wellbeing of her family and secondly, the abundance of community and social projects that she volunteered for. It is hard to imagine.
Marilyn was always active. In sports she competed in softball, curling, or any activity that blended with her family. She curled (skip) to the end. She was a very competitive bridge player. She always worked to improve the performance of those around her.
If anyone was in need, Marilyn was there to help.
She will be missed by all she touched.
A viewing will be held on Friday March 8 at 11:00 am at the Legacy Funeral Home in Cardston, with a graveside service to follow at the Leavitt cemetery.
