Gina Nicole Chief Body was born in fort Macleod on April 7 1986 to Kathy Chief Body and Richard knife. She had and raised three beautiful daughters with the help of the grandparents and family. Alora is her oldest, Carlynia is her second oldest and her baby is Rikia. They were her world and often told stories of them and how proud of them she was, also how much she loved them. Her siblings are Kandyce Shouting, Daisy Chief Body, Dillon Freed Knife and half sister Phobe Bird. Her nephews are Drake, Buster, Josiah, Victor, nieces are Lily, Rumor, silver, baby Dillon, Savannah. Karmin, Harper, Aleeza, Georgia, chypper, Lincoln and Tanner. Her one great niece who she very close to is Ophelia. Gina also had numerous cousins and both maternal and paternal sides of her family. Gina's maternal grandparents are the late Eddie and Odile Shouting. Her paternal grandparents are the late Jim and Maude Knife. She was raised on the Blood Reserve with her mother, father, step father, siblings and her children and her nieces and nephews. Gina's maternal aunts are Georgette Chief Body Melanie Shouting, Tamara Shouting. Her maternal uncles are Marvin Shouting and the late Eddie Shouting jr (uncle loboy). Her paternal aunts and uncles are George knife (deceased) Pete knife (deceased) Annie knife ( deceased), Theresa Knife (deceased), Joe Knife, Ed Knife, John Knife, Dan Knife (deceased), Richard Knife, Bill Knife ( deceased) Gina had a very kind heart and also a very tough side to her. She had many friends she grew up with and often spent her younger years with. Gina was a very strong woman who overcame all obstacles that were thrown in her way. She had a great sense of humor and loved to sing. Gina went to school at the Saipoyi elementary school, Kainai middle school and the Kainai HIgh school. She later did her academic upgrading at the Red Crow college on the Blood Reserve then attended the Lethbridge College to further her education. Before her passing she was employed at the Kainai Market place as a cashier. Gina will be greatly missed by all who loved her dearly.
A Wake Service will be held at Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Monday, May 8 from 6:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Senator Gladstone Hall on Tuesday, May 9 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Catherine’s cemetery, Stand Off.
