THOMAS FLOYD "Piitaohsooa'tsis" CHIEF MOON was born September 23, 1961 at the Old Indian Hospital in Cardston, Alberta. Thomas was the first born to Gus (deceased) and Myrna Chief Moon. He acknowledged the fact that he was a direct descendant of Chief Red Crow. Thomas was called home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2020. Thomas attended Cardston High School where he graduated in 1976. He continued his education in Edmonton, Alberta taking a police training program that then helped start his career as a police officer for 15 years, a security guard for Streets Alive for 10 years, and a security guard for the Blood Tribe Police Station. In the early years of his life Thomas was taught how to sing and play guitar by dad(Gus) along side his brothers Mark CM and JoeSam CM. The word of God was instilled in him by his grandparents, Dan and Philomena Chief Moon 'n' parents. This love for Christ encouraged him to travel throughout the US and Canada to spread the Gospel. His musical talents contributed to the band he had with brothers: Mark, Joe, Wilford(Mizz) DR, and Larry HB called "Sultan Of The Swings." You would often find Ton singing and playing at various functions. Anywhere he could lend a helping hand. Also with the Little Rock Drummers. Thomas was very active in his youth, he was the fastest runner in Levern, he was known as "speedy gonzales," he won the 100m dash five years in a row, and also the relay races with Willie B.P., John C.M., and Mizz D.R. Ton would be placed last because of his speed. He also won many high jump competitions. Ton played with the Levern Braves Fastball Team where he pitched, back-catched, and played center field. Ton also played with the Levern Bandits Hockey Team also known as the "Levern Swedes" he was a right wing. In every sports activity Ton won many MVP awards. Ton, along with brothers Mark and Joe were known as "The Handsome Brothers." Ton, along with best friends Kevin Mtn Horse and the late Rex Bird were known as "The Three Amigos" or "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" (Lol). For Thomas, his siblings, and all his cousins, grandma Dan and grandma Philomena's backyard in Chief Moon Miracle Valley was their playground. Thomas had a very loving, caring, friendly, and giving personality. It was always in him to give and help out wherever it was needed. Never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He was everyone's favorite taxi driver. All who knew Ton knew they had a true, genuine friend they could always count on. His positive energy and great sense of humor always brought light to any room. If he wasn't making everyone laugh he was giving wise words of encouragement. If you ever wondered why he was called "Ton" is because when he was a baby he weighed a Ton (lol). One very important nickname Thomas had was "The Tickle Monster." Thomas's beautiful presence will be dearly missed by all.
