It is with deep sadness that the family of CYRIL CLARKE announce his passing at 94 years of age. Cyril will be lovingly remembered by his eternal companion, Ngawati, and their 7 children: Bradley Clarke, Duane Clarke, Gloria (Leavitt), Denise (Bevans), Sharron (Molcak), Paul Clarke, Lloyd Clarke, 39 grandchildren, 89+5 great-grandchildren.
Cyril was predeceased by his baby girl, Luana Gay, his parents, Leslie Taylor Clarke and Leila Myrtle McHugh, his brother, Les Clarke, and his grandson, Danen Clarke.
The focus of his life was service to the Lord; starting as a young missionary in New Zealand. He spent 6 and a half years as supervisor over the electrical department for the building of the Church College of New Zealand, and the Hamilton, New Zealand Temple.
In that time Cyril met and married his wife, Ngawati. They had five children before he moved his family to the British Isles where they had three more children. Luana Gay being laid to rest there shortly after birth. Cyril continued in the Church Building Program for 7 and half more years.
Cyril had a great love of travel and sense of adventure which took him to Egypt, Europe and the Holy Land.
The second half of his life was spent in Canada rearing his family and pursuing his passions, one of which was to fly. After moving to the Cardston area he built his own ultra-light and loved to fly it over the rolling foothills with his good friend Bob.
There will be a public visiting time with the family Thursday April 21, 5pm-7pm at the home of Cyril and Ngawati (305 9th St. West, Cardston).
The family wishes to send a special thank you to those who have helped and assisted, for their kind thoughtfulness and care.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Centre, (846 -1 Ave West), Cardston, AB., on Friday, April 22nd, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may meet the family from 12:00 noon to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
