Sonya Marie Creighton (Mianistsikamosaki)
With heavy hearts and great sorrow we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Sister, Granddaughter, Niece, and Aunt: Sonya Marie Creighton (Mianistsikamosaki); who left peacefully on February 12, 2022 in Calgary, AB at the age of 40 years. Left to mourn her passing, her sons: Tyreese, Roan, and Ryker Creighton. Common law partner: Brian Healy. Sister: Stacey (John). Grandmother Mildred Melting Tallow. Aunts: Debbie Melting Tallow, Verna (Ivan) Many Fingers, Natalie, Charlene (Tim), Dee, Ritzie (Ivan), Jessie (Cookie) and Kim Creighton, Carol Bird and Kim Black Water. Uncles: Andrew (Cindy) Many Fingers, Barry, Leeboy, and Jeff Melting Tallow. Cary (Candace) and Billy (Reann) Creighton. Robert Wells. Great Aunts: Clara (Mike) Sigurdur, Sylvia Tail Feathers, Roseanne Many Fingers, and Marie (Don) Shade. Great Uncles: Herbert and Burton (Virna) Many Fingers. Goddaughter whom Sonya always called “my baby” Mackenzie Wells. Mother inlaw: Tina Spotted Eagle. Sonya was predeceased by her parents: Cynthia “Tammie” Many Fingers (nee Creighton) and Delbert “Sonny” Many Fingers. Sister: Kyla Many Fingers. Maternal Grandparents: Mary (Arthur) White Quills, and John “Jiggs” (Arabella) Creighton. Paternal Grandfather: Clarence “CM” Melting Tallow. Aunts: Sharon, Barbara “Tiny” Creighton, Joanne “Girlie” Wells and Leanne Melting Tallow. Uncles: Brian, Alroy, and Henry Creighton. Matthew Wells, and Todd Many Fingers. The Wake Service will be held at the White Calf Hall, Blood Reserve on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 7:00 - 10:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11:00 am with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. Interment to follow at Blood Band Cemetery, Blood Reserve. |
