CRYING HEAD
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of ROMMEL VINCENT CRYING HEAD, born May 15, 1990 in Cardston, AB and passed away at the age of 30 years on June 5th, 2020. When Rommel was born he was air lifted to Calgary and was tested for a rare diseas OTC deficiency that runs through the Crying Head family and we were blessed that our loving son, grandson came back negative for the disease. Rommel was really close to our grandma Rachel. He was so spoiled he always got what he wanted from grandma Rachel. When Rommel couldn’t find his nursing bottle he would go up to grandma and tell her “my a yo bottle”, getting mad at her to look for his bottle and grandma never hesitated to look for his bottle. Grandma always had treats and snacks set aside for him. Grandma Elizabeth always had a stash of bottles for him for when his would lose his bottle. Grandma Elizabeth would give him a bottle and then he would be happy and releaved saying, “My ayo bottle,”. He was very spoiled by us because he was our first son, grandson, great grandson and nephew. Grandma always had treats and snacks set aside for him. Rommel was also spoiled by his dad. Roland bought him a big stereo system and video games so he can stay out of trouble and all his cousins and friends would come to visit and played video games and listen to music all night. Grandpa Martin picked up Rommel and his dad Roland to go hunting. Grandpa taught Rommel how to hunt deer, sometimes they would get lucky and they would bring back home one or two deer and they would be outside cutting up the deer and would split the deer meet with the family. Rommel’s dad bought him a car. Rommel was one of the first ones to own a car. All his cousins and friends would come and cruise around with him, young and old and even his uncles too, he would drive them to Uncle Martin Hairy Bull’s house. Rommel was so close to his uncles from the Crane Chief family, Rommel lost most of his uncles. Rommel received his education in Levern elementary school and St. Mary’s high school. Rommel was very artistic, always drawing on his spare time. He was always drawing face images of our family and his favorite rap star 2Pac and other rap singers. Rommel entered an art contest in Calgary about fire hazard safety and he won 2nd place. Now his art sits in Calgary at the Art Gallery. Rommel lost grandma Rachel and his father Roland in 2008. Rommel left home and moved to Eden Valley to be with his late Uncle Calvin & Bernice Across the Mountain and their family. He left for several years and returned home to Little Chicago where he was raised. Rommel moved home to help mom raise his siblings after Dad passed away then left again after the tragic passing of his baby brother Daniel because it wasn’t the same for him, everyone he was close to were decesed. He then followed Auntie Lillian who got Rommel into life management, always encouraging him to do stuff and pushing him to stay sober, and he was a godfather to Anne experiencing being a parent because he didn’t have any children of his own. He was so proud to be a godfather to Anne who he spoiled. Rommel started making new friends and meeting his distant relatives. Rommel got close to the Bighead boys, Leonard Blackfore Head and Jay Black Rabbit, which reminded him of his uncles the Crane Chief and also met Roman at the Beebe Mart store and Kevin Williams Jr. Rommel always hung out at the Beebe Mart giving a helping hand and cleaning outside the store and panhandling. Rommel comes back and tells us who he all saw and who helped him out. Rommel had a kind heart and would help anyone anyway he could. Rommel will be sadly missed by all who new him.
