It is with great heartbreak that the family announces the passing of ROSS DAY RIDER (MOUNTAIN HORSE) (Nii’naims’kaas’koo’maa’pii - Medicine Pipe Man) on June 28, 2023, in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 34 years old.

Gordy introduced Ross into the life of sports and rodeo.
Ross had many friends that he made a long his travels. He had such a kind and gentle heart for everybody. You can hear in the stories that his friends share how good he treated them all. Ross was such a good friend he would literally give the shirt off his back if he had to. That’s just the way he was, a natural care giver.
The love he shared with his family especially his children was so special. His children were his whole world, his everything. Everybody knew how much his children meant to him. His family would jokingly say he was a Mr. Mom. But it was true, he had a special bond with each one of them.
