JAMES OLIVER EAGLE CHILD, passed away on August 20, 2021 in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 67 years. James Eagle Child born September 11,1953 in Cardston, AB to Jim Eagle Child and Sylvia Healy. Paternal Grandparents Thomas Eagle Child, Fanny Pace, Maternal Grandparents Marie Bumblebee, Art Healy. James had numerous aunts and uncles between the two Families. James leaves behind his Wife Kloudie and his children James Jr (Terri), Niomi (Slade), Donny, Clark, Miles (Nikki), Monty (Kathleen), Karisma (Alex), Charmaine, Chase (Nitira), Tommy, Stephanie, and to whomever considered him as a father figure throughout the years. Grandchildren Trinity, Shaunteya, JT, Samuel, Skye, Cesar, Sadie, Noah, Evan, And the Great-grandchildren Dayton, Rhiatt. Siblings Justine (Bill) Cross Child, Jean (Don) Barker, Sylvia, Gloria, Glen, Philomena (Rusty) Schindler, Frieda Melting Tallow, Floyd (Sharon) Melting Tallow, and numerous Nieces Nephews, cousins. Also, James had many good friends throughout the years. The family apologizes if we may have missed anyone.
James was a hardworking man, worked at the plywood in Fort Macleod for numerous years and Triple M Homes for over 20 years to his retirement, he was such a hard worker he would be up every morning 3 o’clock doing chores (feeding the farm animals) before leaving to work, his enjoyment was 4x4 in the Buttes with the kids getting stuck and driving on the tickle hills chasing cows. He was a humble man went to Church every Sunday very seldom did he spoke bad words except around his horses and cattle at branding when people were green horns. To his loving Family relatives and friends, he was a one of a kind.
The Wake Service will be from 6:00 pm - all night on Friday, August 27 at Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve and the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 28 at 11:00 am at Gladstone Hall. Interment to take place in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Stand Off, AB.
