 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our cousin, niece, mother, grandmother, and friend Kim Eagle Speaker. Kim was born on December 24, 1966 in Cardston, AB and passed away on May 10, 2024 on the Blood Reserve. Kim was raised in lower Stand Off with her mom and sisters and extended family. Kim lived a very hard life due to addiction issues, and she struggled for many many years with it. Despite her struggle Kim always had a smile or a joke for everyone. Kim was a very gentle and quiet person; she had a giving spirit and would always try to help out others. Kim is survived by her adopted dad Nick Rabitt; children, Mallory, Nickolas, Sonjae and their children; nephews, Lyndon, Troy, JC, Harlin (Jodi); niece, Shayla (Marvin) and their children; sister, Tammy Vielle and children. Kim is also survived by her auntie Levena Devine and numerous cousins; she was predeceased by her mom, Elizabeth and dad Herman/Josephine Vielle; sisters, Brenda, Shirley, Delphine, Sherri; brothers, Kevin and Colin Vielle; nephews, Shawn, Waylon, Cody; grand niece, Maggie Big Sorrel Horse; grandparents, Tom and Maggie Eagle Speaker; aunties, Peggy, Linda, Wanda, Sharon, Ramona, Vina, Mary; uncle Thomas and numerous cousins and relatives. Kim is also survived by her extended families; Eagle Speakers, Blackfaces, Blackforeheads, Wolf Childs, and Vielles. The family would like to thank Dr. Esther Tailfeathers for being her physician and taking care of her over the years and Lillian Crying Head for always opening her home to Kim. 

The Funeral Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Friday, May 17 at 11:00 am with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. A Viewing will be held from 9:00 - 10:45 am prior to the service. Interment will take place in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Stand Off.
