SHERRY LYNN EAGLE SPEAKER  "Dancing Again Woman"  passed away in Cardston, AB on March 23rd, 2020 at the age of 49 years.  Sherry was born in Fort Macleod to Nick Rabbit and Elizabeth Eagle Speaker.  She attended elementary school in Standoff, AB and later attended St. Mary’s residential school.  Sherry was a kid’s fancy dancer and attended many Pow Wows. Later, she had the opportunity to attend Lethbridge Community College for three years. She worked for Continuing Care in Standoff and also worked as a teacher’s aide at Saipoyi school.  Sherry was a champion Hand Games player and won multiple championships in the United States and Canada.  Her biggest joy was her children and she enjoyed collecting pictures of her family.  She loved attending her sons’ athletic events, especially Cross Country running and track.  Another favorite pastime of Sherry’s was to attend concerts and dancing events.  Sherry is survived by her children, Harlin (Jodi), Cody (Vanessa), Shayla (Marvin); grandchildren, William, Elizatris, Payton, Meddrix, baby Zirus, Tristan, Tishawna, Tiara - goddaughter, Reese; her adopted daughter, Kelly Rabbit; sisters, Kim, Delphine; brother-in-law, Stan Big Sorrel Horse; aunties, Joan, Beverly, Levina; uncles, Dale, John; nephews, Troy, JC. Lydon, Nicklos, Romeo (Sam), Dezz (Tasha Jay), Ty; nieces, Miranda, Shannon, Carmilita, Robbie.  Sherry is predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Eagle Speaker; her sisters, Sherly Big Sorrel Horse and Brenda Big Sorrel Horse; her son Waylon Crow; her nephews, Shawn Big Sorrel Horse, Dradon Plaited Hair, and KJ Plaited Hair.   Sherry has many loving relatives, Eagle Speakers, Rabbits, Plumes, Weasel Heads, Mills, Bottles, Day Chiefs, Bruised Heads, Chief Moons, Wolf Childs, Blackfore Heads, Crow Chiefs, Tall Mans, and Eagle Childs.  Sherry also had numerous friends.  All who attend are considered her honorary pallbearers. The family apologizes to any family members we have missed. Just know Sherry had a caring, loving heart and you all were a big part of Sherry’s life on earth.

A Private Family Service will be held at White Calf Hall, Standoff, AB on Saturday March 28th at 11:00 am with a private viewing from 9:30 - 11:00 am.   Interment in the St. Catherine’s Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent by CLICKING HERE.
