KENNETH SCOTT FORSYTH, beloved husband and eternal companion of Shanna Forsyth, passed away suddenly due to a tragic accident on January 30th, 2018 at the age of 41. Scott was born to Tim and Karyn Forsyth on August 5, 1976 and raised in Leavitt, AB. Scott married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Shanna Pilling on August 27, 1999. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Utah where they lived the first 12 years of their marriage. While living in Utah, they were blessed with two great sons, Gavin (16) and Griffin (10). Scott worked in the excavation/building industry alongside family members. Though he loved being around his in-laws so much - home was calling. Scott and Shanna were excited to move home to Alberta to be around family and community. Shortly after moving home they were blessed with their sweet angelic baby girl, Glacier Lynne (5). Glacier came and melted her Daddy’s heart.
Scott was one of a kind. A gentler giant could not be found. He worked himself tirelessly taking care of his #1 priority - his family. One of the hardest workers. He never stopped. Scott was never scared to tackle the dirty job and often the last one out of the trenches. He was always willing to lend a hand and help in any way. Scott was one of the most genuine individuals. He kept us all laughing and gave us constant reminders to keep our vehicles out of his way.
Scott, you ran to heaven way too soon, but we know that your Mom was there waiting for you with arms wide open and a new bottle of nail polish, to help make those toes nails sparkle just the way you like them.
Scott is survived by his wife Shanna, children Gavin, Griffin and Glacier. His dad Tim (Sherri), and his siblings, Shawn Forsyth (Melissa), Kati Firth (Paul), Tina Forsyth, Laura Michel (Kurtis), Jason Forsyth (Kasey), AJ Forsyth, Jolene Black (Brandon Nelson), Bailey Black and many fostered siblings. Preceded in death by his mother, Karyn and his sister Marie.
Friends may meet the family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center (846 1st Ave W), Cardston, AB on Monday, February 5th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. or from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Cardston Alberta West Stake Center on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment to follow in the Leavitt Cemetery.
