Karma is survived by her brothers Bruce Ehlert (Ann) and Ron Ehlert (Sharon) and her sister Renee Hill.
Karma was predeceased in death by her husband, Ted J. Harker, her daughter, Drena and by her parents: Winnie and Lawrence Ehlert.
She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and numerous friends.
Karma was born in Magrath on October 3, 1933 to Winnie and Lawrence Ehlert. She was the oldest child of four children. Karma spent her school years in Magrath and made lifelong friends.
Karma’s love of her life was Ted Harker. They spent years working together in their Real Estate Agency. In 1985 they picked up and moved to Hawaii. In 1992 they moved back home to Magrath. Mom designed and built their home in Magrath (which she had done twice before in Lethbridge) and enjoyed her time in her garden and yard which she loved. She spent time in the winter going through gardening magazines and starting her plants in her greenhouse to get ready for the summer. If you wanted to see Mom in the summer you could be sure it was outside in her garden!.
In 2004 Dad suffered a stroke while they were on holidays in California. Karma literally was by Dad’s side until his passing in 2010.
We are comforted in knowing that Mom is once again in Dad’s arms. Drena will be so excited to be with Mom once again.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
Garden Place Chapel in Magrath, AB., with Bishop Scott Wolsey officiating. Condolences may be sent by CLICKING HERE.
