It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Emery Dee Healy.
Emery Dee Healy (Eagle Speaker), “Miisumahpii”, 54 passed away Tuesday February 23, 2021 in Calgary, Alberta
Emery was born February 16, 1967, in Lethbridge, Alberta and was a lifelong resident of Calgary. He studied at SAIT and obtained his Geomatics Engineering Technology – Land Survey Diploma and was also in the process of obtaining his Carpentry apprenticeship.
He loved the outdoors and had a lifelong love of music. He embraced his spirituality and our way of life. Emery had a kind soul and heart. His love for his daughter Lara has no end and he made sure she felt it by his actions. Lara, Renita and Emery shared a bond that they only understood, they enjoyed the outdoors together. Emery and his mother Doreen have shared moments that they only can look back at. Emery spoke of his nieces with so much love. Emery also spoke of his family back home that he would call brothers. Emery had a very kind heart for the homeless, and he would help them in any way he could.
He is survived by his loving mother Doreen Healy; his father Ike Eagle Speaker (Geraldine); his precious daughters Lara Healy (Day Chief) and Madyson Arbor who meant the world to him; Lara’s mother Renita who was his best friend; Sisters, Deanne Healy and Heather Healy (Alister); Nieces, Isabella and Kennedy Healy; Aunts, Leanne (Hugo), Jenny, Rita and Sandra; Uncles, Rodney (Ann), Tom (Karen); and Cousins, Jeffery, Brandon, Kolten, Chyana, Zoee, Dyllan, Tracy, Bonnie, Shawn, Corrine, Jr and Aaron, Kimberly, Dwayne, Stephanie, Sandy, Leslie, Dwayne, Terry, Ovide.
He is predeceased by his Grandparents Stanley and Molly Healy, Mike and Kathleen Eagle Speaker, and Connie Matson who was a second Mother to him.
A Viewing will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A Family Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home on Friday, March 5th at 11:00 am. (Due to COVID-19 - Only 20 people will be allowed in the building for the service.)
