JENSEN
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of BRENDA KAREN (CAMPBELL) JENSEN on Tuesday September 21, 2021 in Cardston Alberta. Brenda is survived by her husband W Delton Jensen, her daughters Lynn (David) Bevans, Karen Jensen, and Marty (Drew) Wolsey. Brenda has 4 Grandsons: Patrick (Paysen) Bevans, Davis, Marcus and Phoenix Wolsey; and 3 Granddaughters: Breanna Bevans, Alexis Walburger and Taylor Wolsey. She is predeceased by her daughter Jolayne Jensen.
Brenda was born on August 2, 1944 to Lester and Wilma Campbell. She is the oldest of 6 siblings: Kim, Janice, Peter, Susan and Alex, and leaves behind multiple nieces, and nephews. Brenda was raised in Jefferson, Alberta. She had many happy memories of growing up on the farm. Brenda attended College in Lethbridge where she played on Lethbridge College’s first female basketball team. She later completed her Education Degree from the University of Calgary.
Brenda married Delton in the Cardston, Alberta Temple in August 1965. Delton and Brenda lived in Olds and then in Peace River where Brenda was a teacher. Following, they had the opportunity to move to Foremost where they welcomed their first two daughters Lynn and Karen. They lived for a short time in Warner and later moved to Aetna to be closer to family, where the last two daughters Jolayne and Marty joined the family.
Brenda was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Brenda was an amazing example of Faith to all who knew her. Her daughters often said that if something needed to happen, then they needed to have Mom pray about it. She devoted much of her time to Temple Work, Family History and studying her Scriptures. Even in her last days she still wanted to read her scriptures. Brenda served in many church callings in the Relief Society, and Primary. Brenda had a kind heart, and reached out to many. Delton and Brenda have been a part of the Aetna ward for most of their lives. Brenda also loved her garden, flowers of any kind, animals, painting, crocheting, needlework, picnics in Waterton, and especially her family.
Brenda’s Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 11:00 am at the Jensen Family Campground near Kimball, Alberta. Interment will be held following the service at the Aetna Cemetery.
