Glen Harker Jensen - passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on September 1, 2023 in Cardston, at the age of 71.
Glen is survived by his wife Shauna of 49 years, and their children: Caylee (Charlie) Secretan, Jon (Jessie) Jensen, Darcy (Lianna) Jensen, Kenzie (Jason) Steward, and Kelsey (Jake) Hansen, along with their 18 grandchildren: Mason, Tatum, Sam, Chase, Philip, Pearl, Mabel, William, Nolan, Mattie, Lydia, Lucy, Eli, Oliver, Norah, Scarlett, Hazel, and Charles.
He is survived by his siblings: Sylvia (Robert) Leishman, Philip (Linda) Jensen, Murray (Bev) Jensen, Bruce (Kendra) Jensen, and Randy (Karianne) Jensen. Glen was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Hope Jensen.
Glen was born on June 26, 1952 in Raymond. His family were farmers and at a very young age he was taught the value of hard work, a characteristic that he carried with him throughout his life. He spent many years learning on the farm with his dad and brothers, creating some of his favorite memories. He was a great storyteller who loved to have a good laugh over the adventures he had been on. Glen loved hunting and being outdoors, and passed that love onto his children. He played hockey and curling and continued to love both sports throughout his life.
In March 1974, Glen married his sweetheart, Shauna Tolman, of Hill Spring, and together they raised their 5 children in Raymond. Glen served his church and community in many ways including becoming an avid scouter, where he was a great leader and mentor to many young men over the years. He served on the town council, drove the ambulance, and was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many capacities.
Professionally, Glen was a master plumber, and he dedicated himself to his craft, leaving behind a legacy of excellence. He could build or fix almost anything and found great pride in seeing a job well done. He worked at the Raymond Hospital for 19 years and cherished the relationships he made there. Glen then spent several years in Fort McMurray, AB with his own successful plumbing business.
Glen put his family first and always took the time to take them on long drives in the country and camping trips in the mountains. He loved seeing his children and grandchildren grow up, and he loved teaching them how to drive, fish, shoot, sharpen a knife, mow a lawn, or fix anything around the house that they called him about constantly.
Glen's life was a testament to his love for the outdoors, his trade, and his devotion to his beloved wife, Shauna. They had a love most would be envious of, always showing affection and respect to each other. During the last 2 years that love deepened as they fought hard together, with constant faith and hope.
Friends may meet the family at the Legacy Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9th, from 11:00 am to 12:30 p.m. The family will be having a private Family Service.
