JULIE KATHRYN (WIGGILL) LEAVITT, beloved wife of Tracy, passed away in her home in Cardston, Alberta, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, July 6th, 2018, after a three and a half year battle with ovarian cancer at the age of 62 years.
She is survived by her husband Tracy Dean Leavitt; her mother Retta (Richards) Wiggill; her four children Courtney (Cody) Bevans, Katey (Kesty) Sudo, Josh (Sarah) Leavitt, Riley (Alicia) Leavitt; and her 11 precious grandchildren; her siblings Peggy Schimpf and Ron Wiggill. She was predeceased by her father Bill Wiggill, her sister Carol Coolidge, and her brother-in-law Randy Schimpf.
Julie was born and raised in Cardston, the youngest of four children. She married her husband and raised her children on a farm in Leavitt, Alberta. She found much joy in motherhood and in being a very young, caring, attentive Grandma. She loved her family fiercely, always putting them first. She spent most of her years as a stay at home mother and the last 25+ years working at ATB Financial. She was a softhearted, kind, loving, quiet person who always had time to listen and held a special place in her heart for youth. She was creative and loved to play games; she touched many lives. Julie was a Woman of Faith who gave her all for her family.
The family would like to thank all of her caregivers and acts of service done in the last few years–there has been many. You have made a large impact on our family.
Friends may meet the family at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Monday, July 9th, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or at the Church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 10th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center (846 1st Ave W).
