JERRILYNN KAREN JENSEN LEHR, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in Cardston, AB after struggling many years with various health problems. Jerrilynn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Jerrilynn was born on January 27, 1943 and is the second of three children. She grew up in Cardston. As a young child she loved the arts, drama, dancing, singing and playing the piano. She continued her interests while attending Brigham Young University and earning her degree in business. In 1964 she married Bobby Lehr in the Cardston Alberta Temple and they started their new life together. They lived on a farm where they enjoyed the tranquility of the wide open space. They lived there happily until the death of her beloved husband of 45 years before she moved into the Chinook Lodge in Cardston.
Jerrilynn was predeceased by her husband Bobby; her parents LeMont and Thora (Burton) Jensen; her sister Doryta (Jensen) Sommerfeldt; and grandson Logan Reed Lehr. Jerrilynn is survived by her children Scott (Tammy) Lehr, Jason (Kara) Lehr, and Jeana (Jeremy) Alcorn. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kate Lehr, Amy (Michael) Henriques, Julia Lehr, Levi Lehr, Jarom Alcorn and Skyler Lehr. She is also survived by her brother Jim (Myrna) Jensen.
Jerrilyn was a woman of faith and served in various callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including playing the piano and organ which she loved.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Centre, (846 -1 Ave West), Cardston, on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may meet the family from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Cardston Cemetery.
