LYLE DEAN LYBBERT, beloved husband of Verena Lybbert, passed away in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the age of 84 years.
Dean is predeceased by his Father Lyle Raymond Lybbert, Mother Dorothy Mary Oler, brother Philip Lybbert and his son Paul Dean Lybbert.
He is survived by his Wife Verena Oertli, Daughters Sherry Walford (Zolton), Connie Gilson (Randal), Juanita Court (Aaron) and Wanda Asuchak (Ben). As well as his 12 grandchildren, Kierra Irvine (Nick), Danika Asuchak, Ryan Gilson (Devonee), Chelsea Barfuss (Ryan), Austin Walford, Caitlyn Gilson), Tanner Asuchak (Marieke), Nicholas Asuchak, Regan Gilson, Adin Court, Braeden Asuchak, Josie Court. Plus 10 great grandchildren and counting. His Brothers Clarke Lybbert, Ross Lybbert, and sisters Annette Martin and Linda Wolfe.
Dean will be missed by all his family and friends, he was well known as a Cowboy/Ranch Hand/Rodeo participant. He was well known for breaking horses and Saddle Bronc Riding. As well as his turquoise chaps.
He had the gift of teaching the gospel and often found people who travelled to hear him from afar. He could often be found reading and studying his scriptures and was well versed in them. He had the opportunity to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in 1959-1961. He served under President Thomas S. Monson in the Eastern Canadian Mission.
Went to trade school in Lethbridge and Edmonton and received his trade certificate in Welding and Pressure B Welding. Which came in handy with all of his inventions wether they were a simple Gate Latch, or other large projects.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fort Macleod, AB., on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may meet the family from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Orton Cemetery. Read More
