Apollonia (Appie) Morning Bird, Aipasstaamiinaamm passed away suddenly beside her family, at the age of 38 on Sunday August 4th 2024. Appie was born February 5, 1986 in Cardston AB to Reo Hairy Bull and Betty Morning Bird. Appie is survived by her 5 Beautiful children Ciara, Kellan, Brian Jr, Keith Jr, and Andrew. She’s also survived by her mother Betty Morning Bird; siblings Janice (Albert), Dameon (Jocelyn), Bernadette, Deanna (Randell), Galena (Shane), Lainey, Dovena, Joan, Jean, Burt; Nieces and Nephews, Kaydeena, Megan, Isaiah, AJ, Taylor, Sheana, Shalees, TJ, Haley, James, Keisha, Joey, Malique, Christopher, Taleesha, Andreas, Brianna, Atrayu, Payton, Micah, Amaya, Demarco, Edward, Ace, Jax, Danielle, Sarah, Jade, Lonny, Payton; Uncles Gordon (Natalie), Eugene; (Also her long time friend Keith Twigg), also her father in-law Brian Twigg and mother-in law Connie P.H.
Apollonia, is predeceased by her father’s Reo H.B, Robert V, sister’s Melanie, Kelly, Leslie Ann, Lancy, Shayla; brothers Everette, Reno, Andy; nieces Amelia (Myu), Lena, nephew Danin. Paternal grandparents Paul H.B, Bernadette ATM; Maternal grandparents Sonny Mills, Hazel Bullshields; Aunts Yvonne, Andrea, Cecelia; cousins Clayton and Sonny MB.
Appie was a very smart, intelligent, bright, humble and a very caring woman. She was constantly putting everyone ahead of herself, especially the children. She would always make sure everyone was comfortable before she was. She always had her door open to everyone who needed the help, even if it was in the night. Appie would provide the shirt off her back if she had to. Apollonia was also raised by four very strong women Betty, Hazel, Yvonne, and Andrea; they all took a part in Appie’s upbringing, giving the reason why she was a very strong, caring mother, daughter, sister, and Aunty.
Appie began school in Standoff from kindergarten to Elementary School, she then moved onto Lethbridge Gilbert Patterson, to Little Pony Private School, she then transferred to F.P. Walsh High School. Apollonia ended her education with the Red Crow Community College School, where she was excited to be going with her only girl Ciara. Apollonia began working at a young age during her high school yrs whether it was helping out a friend or family, from chores to babysitting. She would never disappoint. Her Second job was at Bayshore Inn in Waterton with Lainey, Recreation Receptionist, and Recreation custodian. She then moved onto Kainai Continuing Care Center custodian, then moved to Receptionist. Her last job was with the Stand Off shelter helping out everyone there, she really enjoyed working with the community because Keith and her knew everyone there.
A Candlelight Vigil will be held for Appie on Saturday, August 10 at 5:30 pm at House #613 Stand Off. The Wake Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Sunday, August 11 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Monday, August 12 at 11:00 am. Interment to take place at St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
