RAYMOND KEITH OLSEN, beloved husband of Fay Olsen passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the age of 93. Keith is survived by his wife Fay of 70 years and his four children: Brian, Gayla (Kim) Aitken, Don (Jan), and Scott (Brandi), 21 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.
Keith was born February 8, 1928 in Cardston, Alberta. Keith and Fay were married in the Cardston Alberta Temple on March 28, 1951. He spent his first 60 years on the farm east of Glenwood where he farmed and raised his family. Keith was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a young man, he served a mission to Australia. He also served in many positions in the Church including as a Bishop, a counselor in the Stake Presidency, the Stake President when the Stake was divided, a Stake Patriarch, and a counselor in the Temple Presidency. Along with his wife Fay, they served as the Director of the Idaho Falls Temple Visitor’s Center. Keith was also active in many community organizations, which included being a councilor for the M.D. of Cardston for many years. In 1989, Keith and Fay retired from farming and made their home in Cardston. Throughout his life, Keith demonstrated his commitment and dedication to the Savior, his family, church, and community. A family service was held Thursday, September 9 at 1:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Home in Cardston. Interment was in the Cardston cemetery.
