ARLENE JANET GODFREY PAYNE passed away quietly in Lethbridge, Alberta on July 10th, 2019 with her daughter at her side. She was born September 13th, 1929 in Magrath Alberta. Arlene was married to Paul Dee Payne on January 25th, 1951 in the Cardston Alberta Temple; they enjoyed a great love affair. Arlene is predeceased by her husband Paul Dee Payne and her parents Floyd and Clarice Godfrey, and her brother Ken Godfrey. She is survived by her 7 children (6 daughters and 1 son); Glenna Pigeau (Bernie), Nancy Bullock (Jim), Sherron Hegedus (Dean), Cathy Bulthuis (Bill), Diane Buxton (Gary), Sally Kesick (Brooks), Wade Payne (Kimberli), 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers and a sister; Lorin Godfrey of Pentiction B.C, Marilyn Pitcher of Beazer Alberta, Donald Godfrey of Queen Creek Arizona and Robert Godfrey of Calgary Alberta. Mom and Dad raised their family in Mountain View, Alberta, Canada until they moved to Utah in 1977. Mom loved her family and always set a good example as a daughter, wife, and mother. Mom loved to be of service and to volunteer in the community. Mom loved serving in her church callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Dad served five missions together; they had a great love for the people of many nations. Mom loved the gospel and loved sharing it with others.
