It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our dear sweet baby girl
Bernadette Theron Joan Plain Woman on April 2, 2023. She was born on January 31, 2004 and loved by her parents, Gregory Plain Woman Sr. and her mother the late Bernice Black Plume. She is also survived by her second parents Gordon and Ilona Plain Woman, special Aunt Doreen Black Plume and Uncle Rodney “Man” Black Plume. Bernadette leaves to mourn her siblings; Gregory (Germaine) Cat Face, Susan (Jed) Running Rabbit, Natalie (Brett) Patterson, McKenzie (Harmony) Plain Woman; adopted siblings, Tracie, Tina, Samantha, Tatiana, Dalton, Keenen Weasel Moccasin, Nakoda Black Plume, Jagger Black Plume; nieces: Linda, Lettie, Luncinta Cat Face, Zephyr Black Plume; nephews: Greyson, Junebug (Lloyd), Manuel Plain Woman; aunties: Cheryl (Arnold) Shouting, Priscilla Bastein, Sally Plain Woman, Shirley Chief Moon, Suzanne First Charger; uncles: Mathew (Maryanne) Chief Moon, Jimmy (Melinda). Bernadette spent the last bit of her life with her special friend Wayne Gregson. Many cousins and relatives too numerous to mention. Bernadette attended many schools off and on the reserve and although she didn’t complete her education she was smart and intelligent. Bernadette dreamed of finishing school and going off to college and eventually getting married and having children with the love of her life. In her free time she was able to join many programs and clubs to help get more experience in life. Beauty was always a passion for her and she loved to try new make up and always had cute nails. In her past time she liked to go on short trips with her special friend Wayne. He brought her to numerous places and always made sure she was ok. Even though Bernadette had a short life here with us, she brightened a lot of peoples’s lives including the people that took care of her throughout her youth. While staying with her other parents Gordon and Ilona she was able to travel to Las Vegas and other parts of the states. Bernadette enjoyed being with her family and friends, she loved going on short drives while listening to good music. Bernadette was a strong resilient young woman who endured so many trials and tribulations in her life. she will be truly missed by all who knew her, especially her dad who she spent lots of time with right up until her death. She was predeceased by her mom Bernice Black Plume, her two siblings Joshua Plain Woman and McKarthy Black Plume; maternal grandparents Harrison and Bernadette Black Plume; paternal grandparents Bernard and Joan (Little Mustache) Plain Woman; aunts: Genevieve Low Horn, Louise (Tweety) Plain Woman, Joyce Day Rider, Bernadine Mountain Horse; uncles: Douglas Black Plume, Ronny Black Plume, William Black Plume, Jordan Chief Moon, Clement (Sonny) Plain Woman, Bernard Plain Woman Jr, great uncle Raymond Black Plume. A Wake Service will be held at Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve, Friday April 14, from 7:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Gladstone Hall on Saturday, April 15 at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Pioneer Cemetery, Lavern, AB.
