ELAINE CATHERINE (SALMON) RAYMOND, beloved wife of Neil Gordon Raymond passed away in Cardston Alberta on Nov 15, 2022 at the age of 82 years. She was predeceased by her older brother David Salmon (Rosaline), her younger sister Diane Amundson (Wil) and her Grandson Timothy Gehmlich.
Elaine is survived by her brothers and sisters Doug Salmon (Valerie), Marian Allen (Tom), Carolyn Whitney (Larry), Rob Salmon (Laurine) and Christine Stevens ( Dave). She is also survived by her two children Jane Bruce (Paul) and John McDonald. When she met the love of her life Neil, she gained 5 more children. Nicki Albrecht (Gux), Craig Raymond (Debbie), Corrina Boychuk (Richard), Christina Symonds (Stephen) and Jessamyn Raymond (Matt). She was a very proud Grandma and Great Grandmother to many. Elaine was born on September 27th, 1940 in Almonte, Ontario. She was the oldest daughter and second child of 8. She helped her Mother with all of her younger siblings and took on many chores being one of the oldest in her family. She has loved singing and playing the piano from a very young age. She has had many other hobbies over the years. She also really enjoyed visiting and calling family and friends, especially on birthdays and special days. She is remembered as a gracious, kind, compassionate, caring and loving Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She always made those she was with feel special and loved. She will be greatly missed by all that new and loved her. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Centre, (846 -1 Ave West), Cardston, Alberta, on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., with Bishop Jeff Johnson officiating.
