Charles was proud to attend Kainai High School and put up a successful fundraiser for their graduation. Charles had many friends who spoke so highly of him. He was the type of person who was humble, always smiling, encouraging others, helping others even though he had his own struggles. Charles spent his early years playing baseball with the Late Alvin Medicine Cranes team The Out Laws. He played the positions of Back Catcher, Pitcher, and Out Fielder. Charles and the Out Laws entered a Milk River Little League baseball tournament, and came up winning first place with just 1 bat. They beat the Calgary West All Stars who ended up becoming the Little League World Series Champions which was held in Quebec. Charles and Ty teamed up with Siksika in a basketball tournament in Okotoks and they helped them win a championship. In Middle School Charles teamed up in Badminton with his late buddy Mathew Curly Rider. They entered a tournament but fell short of winning, but all in all they both gave it their best shot. He also won a lot of events in Track and Field in the Long Distance running events. Charles was also a Quarterback for the Kainai Warriors, and played a number of positions such as Tight End, Wide Receiver, and Coach. Of all sports Charles had the love for basketball the most. He played with Kainai  Middle School Eagles, Kainai Warriors, The Crüe which was his late Uncle Vincent Red Crows team. In High School Charles played with the Kainai Warriors Basketball team where he played along side his brothers Richie, Ty and Hank. Charles and his bros were coached by All Canadian University and College Champion Charlton Weasel Head. Charlton later become one of the boys playing with The Crüe where they won many Championships. The Crüe travelled all over Indian Country, and won a number of championships, as well as All Stars and was a 3 point shot champion .  Playing with The Crüe gave Charles the opportunity to play with many College and University players, and Blackfoot Confederacy players too numerous to mention. Charles was also Musician and played, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and was a Rap Artist (TripC). He even composed a YouTube video for his bro Colin Bird (Kainai Warriors) which has 18 K views. Our son had many great talents which we could write a book about. His number one Hero in his life was his Dad Richard whom he loved dearly. When Richard got elected Blood Tribe Council Charles was so proud of his Dad. He always greeted him with “ AAH “Ko Ko” Mr. Councilman. They had a bond which even death can not separate. Although Charles had personal challenges for the past 5 or 6 years of his life it did not define whom he was as a person. In 2020 Charles gave his life to our Lord Jesus Christ, and that day his face lit up the whole gymnasium. Although our hearts are shattered we have peace knowing that our beloved son is now walking the streets of gold in Heaven. We want to thank everyone for all the love you had for our son.  Charles also had a number of jobs such as gas jockey/security for Albert’s gas bar, Construction worker for the Multi Purpose Building , day time  employment in Calgary ,  BTEST Courses and a number of assorted jobs over the years. The best times were spending time with his children whom he adored with all his heart, also spending time and phoning his Mom and Dad . Charles had a special bond with all his brothers and sisters, his nieces and nephews whom he loved unconditionally, and the people that he met throughout his 32 year journey on earth.  It’s never goodbye; we love and will honor you until we meet again son .  The family would like to thank Legacy Funeral Home for their excellent services.
