We the family of Mr. Ben Scout Jr. Sadly announce the sudden passing of Ben Scout Jr.. He is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Audrey Scout (Big Throat); sons Kelcey (Krista) Scout, Shaun Scout and Ben Jr. III (Lillian) Scout; daughter Cassandra Scout; grandchildren Chanelle, Brandon (Kailiegh), Angelina (Mason), Breanna, Kayden and Kellyanna; step grandchildren Brittany (Eric), Tej, Sereena (Houston), Sarah, Linzy, Anne and Cory; great grandchildren Demmerick, Riah and Caspien; step great grandchild Houston Jr.; brothers Laverne (Anne) Blue Wings and Charlie Scout; sister Roseanne (Justin) Yellow Horn; brothers-in-law Jordan Chief Moon, Cletus (Justine) Big Throat and Max (Star) Big Throat; sisters-in-law Laverne Big Throat, Emily (Les) Heavy Shields, Clara Big Throat, Mrs. Sally Big Throat and Threase Scout.
He was born on December 6, 1953 at the old Indian Hospital in Cardston, Alberta. His parents are Ben Scout Sr. And Sarah “Annie” Blue Wings. He received his education at St. Mary Residential School, Hillspring, Glenwood, Cardston, Catholic Central High School and Lethbridge College, where he received his Journyman tickets. He worked at Blood Tribe Housing for numerous years. After that he went private contracting naming his company Ben’s Co., working along side with his three sons. He loved bailing, cruising his tractor taking his grandchildren for rides. He also enjoyed fishing, trapping and hunting in his younger days.
He was predeceased by his parents Ben and Sarah Scout; brothers Martin (Elma) Scout and Ken Scout; sisters Victoria (Ronnie) Scout, Rosetta Scout, Freda Scout and infant sister Catherine; his in-laws Max and Annabella Big Throat; brothers-in-law Clinton, Lloyd (Grace), Orville and Clinton Jr. Big Throat; son-in-law Wayne Bradley Many Fingers.
He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, family and most of all his loving wife of 47 years Mrs. Audrey Scout.
Sorry for all not mentioned, he loved all who knew him, his nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles and friends.
A wake service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Friday, October 9th, 2020 from 3:00-8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10th at 11:00 am. Interment in the Blood Band Cemetery.
