It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved son Timothy Corey (Butch) Scout. He was a father, brother, uncle and cousin, and a true friend to all those that knew him. Timothy Corey (Butch) Scout was born on February 10, 1986, at the Lethbridge St, Michael’s Hospital and Butch made his journey home on May 07,2023 in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 37 years.
Butch was the beloved son of the late Charlene Shouting-First Charger & the late Michelle Lynn (Tammy) Scout. And Butch is survived by his father Wilfred Stuart Day Rider and his grandmother Christine Little Bear. Butch was adopted by the late Charlene Shouting/First Charger and the late Jerome Shouting & Genevieve First Charger. Butch was loved and cherished by his adopted family who raised him to take pride in being a wonderful loving dad to Justice & Aaliyah Prairie Chicken. Butch is survived by his brothers Troy Eagle Tail Feathers, Richie & Ty Red Crow, and sisters Kelly Eagle Tail Feathers (Jesse), Stacy Scout (Oscar), and Dusty Bruised Head (Lionel). And Butch is predeceased by his brothers Craig Shouting, Charles Red Crow, and Wilfred Levi Robin Jr. Day Rider. And his sister Annette Shouting. Butch is survived by his maternal uncle’s Francis (Judy), Robert, Gary (Joanne), Brian (Michelle) First Charger. And his maternal aunts Agnes Shouting, Veronica, and Roberta First Charger. And Annette Eagle Tail Feathers (Roger) and Crystal Hoof. And Butch is survived by his paternal uncles John, Edward, and Keith Chief Moon, and Gilbert Day Rider. And his paternal aunts Virginia, Bertha, and Marium Chief Moon, and Cindy & Janis Day Rider, and Patty Crying Head. And Butch is predeceased by his paternal uncle’s Michael (Mink), Brian Day Rider. And is predeceased by his aunt’s Carol and Joyce Day Rider. And Butch is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Harold (Butch) Shingoose, great grandparents Ambrose & Maggie Shouting, Paul & Jane Flying About, and Old Man First Charger and Rhubarb Woman. The paternal grandparents are Wilfred Stuart Chief Moon Sr. & Agnus Day Rider, and great grandparents Dan Chief Moon Sr. & Philomena Morning Owl, and Albert & Irene Day Rider.
EULOGY
Butch attended the Glenwood Elementary School where he became a skilled skateboarder and showed his younger brother Ritchie his famous oily tricks. And Butch also attended school in Fort Macleod where he met his sister Dusty Bruised Head and made lifetime memories with his lifelong friends. And Butch transferred to Kainai School where he played basketball with the Kainai Warriors and his older brother Troy Eagle Tail Feathers. Butch and Troy graduated together, and both received their high school diplomas. Both brothers continued their basketball career and had a team called the “Ruff Riders”. Butch and Troy continued their journey together and accomplished in getting a home and worked as roofers in Lethbridge, Alberta. And Butch then become a father to his children Justice and Aaliyah Prairie Chicken. When Butch became a father, he gleamed with so much pride to all his family especially his dad Will Day Rider. As Butch continued his journey he trained @ B-TEST Organization with Chris Messenger. And received numerous construction certificates, that led him to employment. And Butch also played in a softball league with numerous family and friends down @ Soft-Ball Valley located in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Timothy (Butch) Corey Scout left an imprint on everyone’s heart that encountered him. When he would see all his family friends, he was always so cheerful with a ferocious smile. As his sister would say “Tim Buck Two “(Butch) we will be miss you everyday and thank you for all the wonderful memories until we meet again.
A Wake Service will be held at Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 5:00 - 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in the Pioneer Cemetery.
