CHARMAYNE MARIE SHADE-HENRY (Iisapoinhkyaki)
January 4, 1984– November 8, 2018.
In sadness and sorrow, the beloved family of Charmayne “Iisapoinhkyaki” (Singing Crow Woman), announce her passing into the Happy Hunting Grounds of everlasting life.
Charmayne leaves behind her beloved husband Terrance Henry, her pride and joy daughter Amitiel Shade-Henry, her mother Esther Healy, father Irvine Scalplock, sisters; Chalise Scalplock, Melanie Rose Healy, Tanya Scalplock, her brother Dallon (Edeena), nephew Kayleb and niece Diamond.
In 2002, Charmayne graduated from Strathmore High School, she was a friendly, kind hearted and easy going girl, she made time to sit and visit with everyone she met. She shared a compassionate gift to her friends, family and many of her pow-wow family along with her humor and laughter. Charmayne was a strong believer in the Blackfoot tradition and cultural way of life, she was also a member of the Ni Nam Ska Society. She lived her life through traditional dancing, ceremonies, songs and sacred teachings. Charmayne was a well-known traditional dancer who took pride in her dancing and also loved teaching her daughter to dance as well. She enjoyed meeting new friends everywhere she went and every year looked forward to representing her late grandparents Harold and Jean Healy’s teepee at the Calgary Stampede. When Charmayne always danced, she danced with admiration along side with her mother, father, brother Dallon, sister Chalise, nephew Kayleb and daughter Amitel. Charmayne will always be remembered throughout the pow-wow life, her legacy will be carried on by her family and most of all her precious daughter.
Charmayne was predeceased by her brother Ryan Healy, maternal grandparents Harold and Jean Healy, paternal grandparents Anthony and Theresa Scalplock and adopted father Gerald Shade.
The Wake Service will be held at the Cardston Senior Centre (260 1st St. West) on Thursday, November 15th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Cardston Senior Centre on Friday, November 16th at 11:00 am.
