It is with profound sadness that the Family of Ronald James Emerson Small must announce
his passing on 13th of June 2024 at the age of 86.
Ron was the much beloved Husband of Julee and very cherished Father to Jeffrey Ronald, and daughter Deb (Darwin) Anderson.
Ron and Julee, or Jules to Ron, were married for 47 great years and attentive and great father to
Jeff for 46 wonderful years.
He was preceded by his parents Marie and George and his sister Ann. He is survived by Julee
and Jeff, and siblings Bill, Brian (Marlene), Sally (Gail, deceased) Sam (Mary) and Wendy (Jim).
As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was born in New Westminster, B.C., and grew up on the family farm in Langley, B.C.,
where he learned his vast gardening skills.
Ron had an extensive and journeyed career that eventually led him to be a master electrician
tradesman. He was excellent at home renovation, fixing things, problem solving and automotive
work, projects that he had his son help him on, which are cherished memories to Jeff.
Ron was an avid fisherman who loved to camp and loved to share his great stories, which he
told well.
With a trademark smile that just beamed and a great attitude he was a beloved by many and
will be dearly missed.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
