LAUREN RUTH SMITH passed away February 26, 2018 in Lethbridge, Alberta from complications related to her Cystic Fibrosis. She is survived by her parents Rock and Shauna Smith; brothers Tyrel, Clayton, and Matt; sister in laws Sydnee and Bailey; one nephew Tell; and one neice Bo; also by grandparents Bill and Ruth Nalder of Raymond and Frank Smith of Cardston. Lauren was born September 21, 1990 in Raymond Alberta and was raised the first 10 years of her life on ranches near Carway and the balance on a ranch close to Mountain View. After receiving a double lung transplant when she was 18 years old Lauren finished her schooling and became accredited as an Optometrist Assistant. She worked several years at the Eye Appeal Clinic in West Lethbridge. She was adept scholastically and had many friends. Lauren was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who attended to Lauren during her illnesses and her friends and family for their love and support.

Friends may meet the family at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston, AB on Sunday, March 4th, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.  prior to the service.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Cardston Alberta West Stake Center (846 1st Ave W) Cardston, AB on Monday, March 5th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
