She loved to travel, which her love brought her throughout the US, to Montana, Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, gracing each of the casinos and bingo halls along the way with her presence, where she was often lucky winning back most of what she played and sometimes winning a larger sum, enough for her to tell the tale, but she would never revealed how much the winnings were, just that she hit a little. She would come home with many tales to tell of their adventures and misadventures that happened along the way. She made all those who came to her home or camp welcome, comfortable and fed as well as entertained with lots of stories and laughter. Evelyn had a unique personality she was very loving and humorous, she made everyone she met laugh and you felt at ease in her presence. Evelyn loved watching hockey, her Flames were top notch and could talk hockey and elaborate on the players with anyone. She was especially proud her two grandsons Nicholas and Henry when they played minor hockey. She loved the travelling all over for their games, especially when they went to Wabasca for a Hockey Camp with Nicholas.
