HUGH JOHN SUTHERLAND, beloved husband of Fran Sutherland, passed away in Cardston, Alberta on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Hugh was the much loved son of Peter Elmer and Marion Adeline Sutherland of Prince Edward Island.

​Hugh is survived by his devoted wife Fran, sons John (Helen) Sutherland, Geoffrey (Sandy) Sutherland and Joel Sutherland, stepsons Ron (Kelly), Chris (Melissa) and grandchildren Amanda, Shawn, Garrett, Kinza, Marissa and Graeson.

He also leaves to mourn his passing his brothers Pius (Noreen), Gerard, Patrick (Dean) and Joseph (Jane), sisters Angela (George), Ethel (Emerson) and Rosemary (Jim), sister-in-law Liddy (Grant) and numerous nephews and nieces

In addition to his parents Hugh was predeceased by his sister Paula, grandson Ryan and nephews Sandy and Roger.

​At Hugh’s request there will be no service. Cremation will take place.
