Rob was well known for his accomplishments, wisdom, guidance and his perfectionism. In his younger years, Rob was involved in rodeo along with friends and was a champion in the Bareback event. Throughout his life he was an avid fisherman, hunter and he was an amateur taxidermist. In his life he shot 2 grizzly bears, numerous elk, pronghorn antelope, coyotes, foxes, pheasants and had whitetail deer and bighorn Sheep in the Boon and Crocket Record Book. Rob would eventually start Tailfeathers Outfitting with his good friend Ken Nowicki and had many hunters from the United States that would come back every year to hunt. He was also dedicated to becoming a Black Belt from the Blair Orr Karate Studio which he earned when he was 25 years old, after he and his brothers started watching Bruce Lee movies. Rob then held karate classes in the surrounding communities teaching others karate. He especially loved fishing with his children, Cleve, Kaylee, Julio and his brother Puff at their secret spots. Rob could often be seen building or repairing something around the house, his mom’s house or at his barn, never slapping something together, Rob made sure it was built properly. As a hobby, Rob and his brother Puff built high performance muscle cars together, he also enjoyed watching boxing on T.V., building model cars, reading books about UFO’s, the JFK assassination, the Vietnam war, and was often heard at his mom’s house arguing with Puff about such topics. Rob was a very talented artist but was modest about selling his work as he did artwork for his own enjoyment. He loved horses and started training and raising quarter horses at the barn, a passion he had since he was a young boy, which he shared with his brother Twister and friend Lewis.
Rob’s employment included Kainai Industries, driving semi trucks, cutting hay, bailing and fencing, driving school busses and working as an EMT with Blood Tribe Emergency Services.
Rob loved his children and grandchildren, as well as his nieces and nephews, his mom and brothers and sisters. He was friend to many and would give you his last 10 dollars if you needed it.
