ADELE (LACKO) TEWS passed away with family at her side at Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale AB on Wednesday June 15, 2022 at the age of 90 years, beloved wife of the late Werner Tews. Adele was born on December 18, 1931 in Glaserhau, Slovakia. She immigrated to Canada in 1954 and settled in Northern AB where she met Werner Tews. They married Dec 25, 1956. They homesteaded east of Manning AB and both worked very hard building a life together on the farm where they raised their 2 children, Walter and Elsie. Adele was a wonderful mother and an amazing homemaker.
Adele and Werner joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1967 and contributed greatly to the building up of the church in that area. In 1998 they retired from the farm and moved to an acreage in Aetna AB to be closer to family and continued to develop many wonderful friendships which they cherished.
Adele is survived by their 2 children, Walter (Holly) Tews and Elsie (Luc) Heiligers; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and will be dearly missed.
A Private Family Service will be held at the Aetna Cemetery, Aetna, AB.
