JON ROBERT FENTON WEBSTER, farm boy, cowman, basketball player, golfer, skier, sports fan, philosopher, dreamer, singer, music lover, poet, babysitter, mentor, dad-joke master, humanitarian, company president, friend, colleague, cousin, uncle, brother, father, and adored grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 9 th , 2022, at the age of 62.
He was born on July 24, 1959, to June (Beazer) and John Fenton Webster of Mountain View, Alberta, where he was welcomed by his six older sisters, and followed by two younger brothers.Jon loved basketball and golf, receiving a scholarship to Lethbridge Community College after graduating high school in Cardston, Alberta. In 1981, he began his lifelong career in the oil and gas industry and took over the family cattle ranch in Mountain View. He later became the founder and president of Enerpro Engineering in Calgary, where he worked at the time of his passing. His greatest loves were his children, Justin, Blakely, and Adam, their spouses, Adam Deniger (Blakely) and Kailey Webster (Justin), and his two grandsons, Hendrix and Sonny Deniger, whom he spoiled endlessly. Jon is survived by his sisters, Gaye Bowen, Barbara Ferguson, Peggy Williams, Joyce Johnson, Julie Strong, and Melanie Leavitt; bothers Allen Webster and Wendel Webster, and his beloved children and grandchildren. Friends may meet the family on Friday, June 17th, 2022 at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to the service. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,Mountain View, Alberta., on Saturday, June 18th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, his children ask that a donation be made to the Canadian Lung Association in memory of Jon.
