Alvin Sitting Bull aka Wells
“Aakao’koasii” - Grabs Many

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear beloved “Aakao’koasii” on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Lethbridge AB at the Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Alvin was born on July 08, 1957 at the Blood Indian Hospital to Arthur Wells and Bertha Shouting.
Alvin is survived by his son Kyle ( Kelly Black Plume) Sitting Bull and daughters Melody, Melissa, Shelby & Sunshine Mountain Horse & Jamie English. His grandchildren Tayla, Zolee, Annabell, Phoenix, Luna, Dante, Darius, Kireq (skeeter), Quinly, Marcus, Ashford & Sammrie, Harley No Runner, Uriah and Juda; Kyle told Alvin they were expecting another baby and he was so excited to hear that he was getting another grandchild. Alvin loved all his grandchildren and cherish them and would often go check up on them to see if they were okay.
He also leaves behind his siblings, sisters Christine Little Bear, MaryAnn Holy Singer, Ardith Wells and Alvine ( Lester) Low Horn and brother Thomas (Rosaline Low Horn) Holy Singer and two surviving aunties Harriet Wells, Beauty Wells and extended families on both paternal and maternal too numerous to mention.
Alvin went to Camsell Hospital when he was a year old to be treated for tuberculosis and pretty well spent most of his primary years at the hospital and eventually came home after a lengthy stay at the Camsell Hospital however, he often went back up to the hospital for regularly Dr appointments and checks ups. Due to his lengthy stay his first language was English and Hindu and he had no knowledge of our black foot language and this caused some difficulties in communicating with each other and it was frustrating cause we couldn't understand each other. Our parents said they use to laugh at us how we tried to communicate and one story was when our brother Thomas was telling Alvin in  Blackfoot to pass the salt and Alvin couldn't understand him and both starting arguing in their own language when finally, Thomas said " I say salt" and Alvin finally passed the salt to him. Alvin had some disabilities in walking but that didn't stop him from his love for horses, he tamed horses along with his Wells cousins you can always find them at the barn in headquarters or at the granaries Bronc riding on bareback. And one time him and his cousin Tyrone and friend Charlie Twigg rode their horses into the house our parents weren't home and us girls were screaming for them to get out they eventually rode out and left a mess for us girls to clean up {the horses decided to dump in the house}. Alvins love for horses made him to buy horses and cattle to pursue his dream of becoming a ranchman and fulfill his passion for horses.
However, prior to becoming a ranchman and a family man Alvin often loved to go visit sister Christine in the States and during one of his many visits he found a job in Seattle at a Ware House in 1978-1979 and this was his first job not to mention the other jobs he had after that, he was so proud of himself for buying his first vehicle and leather jacket with his first job.
Alvin met the love of his life Denise Mountain Horse in 1987 - 2014, and had two sons Kyle and Lane (deceased) and he raised his stepchildren like his own However, due to an accident he lost his wife and during his family life with Denise he worked at Bouvery, Whisper Creek as a lead hand sat on Parent Advisory Committee under Board of Education also went to school to become a Chef and was a coach for a basketball team. His love for horses made him change his career to become a full-time ranchman and we often would see him outside taking care of his horses.
After the death of his wife, he met his second love Tracy Bird/Rabbit and they became inseparable and both moved to sister Christine Little Bear residence, and due to her illness, she also passed away Alvin continued living at sister Christines up to his passing.
Alvin enjoyed taking family trips often to Vancouver to visit his sister Christine while she lived there. Than him and his family would travel to Seattle Washington to visit his cousins who lived in the city.
Alvin and his wife travelled to Omak Washington one summer to watch the suicide races, which they enjoyed so much. Alvin always talked about going back. Another was Las Vegas he enjoyed going his second trip to Vegas w his wife Denise they seen Goerge Straight in concert. Alvin very much enjoyed going to concerts he attended rumours concerts. Alvin and his late son Lane had plans to go see Fleet Wood Mac where Lane would be with the love of his life Stevie Nicks. Than the concert was cancelled two times.
Alvin has also gone to be with the Creator and his loved ones that have gone before him to prepare for his home coming.
Waiting for him are his parents Arthur Wells and Bertha Shouting and his siblings Oliver Shouting, Geraldine Shouting, Bernardine Holy Singer and Delphine Wells and his son Lane Sitting Bull and the mother of his children Denise Mountain Horse and Tracy Bird/ Rabbit and his nephews Sterling Shouting and Cody Black Rabbit, Lyndon Shouting, Edward Holy Singer, Philip Wells, Bobby Holy Singer and Sheldon Wells/Holy Singer and nieces Lisa, Sharon (Robin), Tammy, Candace Wells / Holy Singer and paternal grandparents James and Annie Wells and maternal grandparents Ambruce and Maggie Shouting and extended family to many to mention.
