With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our sweet and loving "Myu" Amelia Ellie White Man, on December 28, 2022. Amelia was born on May 28, 2010, to her loving parent's Tyrone White Man and Bernadette Gros Ventre Boy in Cardston, Alberta. Amelia leaves to mourn her father Tyrone and her mother Bernadette (Kyle), her sibling's Sarah & Jade White Man and Jaxx and Daniels White Quills.
Amelia also leaves to mourn paternal grandparents, Melvin and Christine White Man, paternal great grandfather Reggie White Man. Maternal grandmother Molly Hairy Bull, maternal great grandfather Harrison Wolf Child.
Amelia also leaves to mourn her aunt's and uncle's, Melanie White Man (Dick), Marty (Bonnie) Across The Mountain, Cassie White Man, Tracy (Sam) Young Pine, Christina White Man, Luke (Danielle) Across The Mountain, Thea Bare Shin Bone, Damien Shouting, Appolonia Morning Bird and Deanna Black Plume and numerous cousins. Extended family also mourning her passing are, great aunt's Evelyn Across The Mountain (Patrick), Linda (Craig) Fox, Rita Calf, Theresa Knowlton, Sylvia Gros Ventre Boy, Rose (Stan) Hairy Bull, Margaret Gros Ventre Boy (Murray), Christine (Bobby) Healy, great uncle's Patrick White Man, Eugene Hairy Bull, Donald, Harrison Gros Ventre Boy, great great aunt's MaryAnn Across The Mountain (Les), Margaret Across The Mountain (Ron). Amelia was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Reo Hairy Bull, paternal great grandparent's Leona (Calf) White Man, Martin Hairy Bull and Theresa Across The Mountain, maternal great grandmother Mary Rose Gros Ventre Boy. Amelia was also predeceased by aunt Shayla Shouting, uncles Reno Shouting and Andy Gros Ventre Boy, great aunt Lisa Across The Mountain, great uncle's Ronald (Rose Mary), Terrence and Martin Jr. Across The Mountain, Robert Calf and Richard "Ricky" White Man. Amelia is survived by many relatives in the White Man, Calf, Hairy Bull, Across The Mountain, Gros Ventre Boy, and Wolf Child families. Her extended family in Siksika include relatives in the Sun Walk, Sleigh, and Many Bears families.
Amelia was the second daughter to Tyrone and Bernadette. The moment she was born she was a true "daddy's girl." Sister's Sarah & Jade could not pronounce "Amelia" so they came up with "Myu" and so she was better known as "Myu." Dad Tyrone spoiled his Myu, often answering her demands and giving her anything and everything she wanted. Myu grew up in the community of Isoitapi, and attended Aapiikayii Head start and Ahsaopi school. In her early years of school, she was very spoiled as her "papa" Melvin was her bus driver: aunt Melanie was her teacher and uncle Marty was her cook! Amelia enjoyed coloring, painting, drawing, and all kinds of crafts. Her favorite tool was scissors! Grandma Christine gave her the Blackfoot name "sissoiakii-scissor woman." "Myu" also loved to collect stuffies of all sorts, but the Sonic character was her favorite.
Most of her time was spent with her dad and sister's, whom Tyrone referred to as, "my clan." The four enjoyed going to movies, shopping in Pincher Creek Walmart, going to the park, and attending family gatherings.
"My" had a very close bond with her sister's, the three were inseparable. One of "Myus" favorite things to do was take a drive and listen to music. Although Amelia was diagnosed with autism and was non-verbal, her dad and sisters could communicate well with her, and dad was always there to make sure all her needs were met. Amelia brought so much love, patience, laughter, and amazement to her extended families who were often amazed by her artistic abilities, and often spoiled her with stuffies. Amelia shared the same birthday as her late great grandma Theresa ATM, so her birthday was often a big celebration at Grandma Christine's home.
Myu was loved by all her cousin's and although she did not like "hugs" the kids would sneak a quick hug before she pushed them away or ran if she knew someone was coming for a hug! "Myu" was always the life of the party during family gatherings and amazed her family with her recent cooking skills. "Myu" will be deeply missed by all who knew her. "Myu" you brought clear skies when days were blue, daddy will always love you."
A Wake Service will be held at Legacy, Cardston on Friday, January 13 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Glenwood, Alberta on Saturday, January 14 at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Pioneer Cemetery, Blood Reserve, AB.
