Philip William Wolf Child Jr. passed away peacefully on October 30th 2021 at the age of 48 years. Philip graced his presence on April 17th 1973 to his loving parents Philip and the late Julianna Wolf Child. Was also the oldest brother to the late Cynthia Ann Wolf Child (Ken). Philip Jr. Was raised with strong family values which shown because he was very humble, kind and had a gentle disposition. He devoted his time and energy as a loving father to his daughter Celsa (Colton); granddaughter Regan; nieces Shanyce, Brooklin and Oceanna. Philip was very supportive and encouraging in his own way and made friends everywhere he went.
Philip attended school in the Blood Reserve at Stand Off Elementary, from there he attended F.P. Walshe High School in Fort Macleod.Philip had numerous hobbies which were riding horses, breaking horses, bull riding, body building, martial arts (his idol was Bruce Lee). Philip was very proud when he attended bull riding school which was held by professional bull rider, Ted Nuce. He also enjoyed riding his motor bike and working on his trucks while listening to heavy metal music. He also enjoyed helping his dad, Philip Sr. With sweats and watched rodeo, wrestling and boxing. Philip also had many jobs, building Lethbridge City Hall, Walmart, Candian Tire, Red Crow Park Arbour, He also worked at FCSS and was security at Kainai Continuing Care.
Philip will always be remembered by his father Philip Sr. Adopted sister Cheryl, Juanita (Randal and Gwen Heavy Runner, brother Melvin and Darcey and nephew Jonathan.
He joins family that have gone before him: his loving mother Julianna; sisters Cynthia Wolf Child, Debbie red Crane, Rolanda and Tracy Many Shots; brother Kelson Eagle Plume; uncles John Wolf Child, Jerry Wolf Child and Frank, Claud and Sandy Eagle Plume; aunties Maud Black Face, Isabelle Knife, Maxine Knife and Rosabelle Knife; cousins Larissa Knife and Gerald.
A wake service will be held on Sunday November 14, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Legacy Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Legacy Funeral Home with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Blood Reserve, Alberta.
