She was predeceased by her loving husband Morgan Wolsey, her parents Chris and Bertha (Lehr) Deibert and her brother and sister in law, Harvey and Thelda Deibert, along with many brothers and sisters in law from the Wolsey family.
Alma was born March 6, 1924 in Medicine Hat, AB to Christian Deibert and Bertha Lehr. She was the eldest of 4 children. Alma spent her youth in Taylorville, Alberta, where she met her sweetheart, Morgan Wolsey.
She and her husband spent the first years of their marriage travelling the oil fields in the prairies, moving 56 times in 10 years. In 1957 they bought their first home in Edmonton, Alberta, where they raised their 10 children. They remained there until 1998. They then relocated back to their roots in Cardston remaining there until their passing.
Her quick wit and humour were always close at hand and never failed to provide a bright source of laughter.
She was a dedicated homemaker, genealogist, and chocolatier. Mom was always opening her home to both friend and stranger alike. She had a passion for quilting and had the ability to make a piece of art out of rags. Hundreds of quilts were made and donated to various organizations benefiting those in need. Always desiring to serve, Mom had a knack for inviting women of all ages into her circle, organizing and mentoring them in serving the less fortunate. Although busy raising her own 10 children, she served in numerous leadership capacities for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was an active member and taught her children to love the gospel as she did.
Her example of love and service will be cherished by her posterity and fondly remembered by all those who knew her.
