It is with profound sadness that the family of EUGENE BRADLEY ABERDEEN-CRYING HEAD, “Iipaamiinaa” (Man from Across the River), must announce his sudden passing on June 18, 2024 at the age of 49. His close family and friends also knew him as “Euge”, he was a beloved Son, Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, cousin and friend. Eugene passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Eugene is survived by his mother; Doreen Aberdeen.; his sisters; Patti, Samantha (Adrian) Nargo, and Tanya Crying Head; children, Dallion (Lacey), Cherokee, Easton, Ej, Stevie, McCoy, Daisy, Gabrielle, and Ebony Aberdeen. Grandchildren, Tiana, Natalie, Addison, Brayton, Hayes (Mr.), Maeve, Pippa, Ave, and Thaydis; nieces, Keysha (Cam Jr), Josie (Ty), Albertine (Tj), Nellie, Adriona, Adrianna, Ariona, Shaylaya, Cammie, Ameera, Kitana, and Maliah; nephews, Robby, Dustin, Drayton, Amaziah, and Oziah; brothers, The duke boys Bryon (Heather) CH, Grant (Melissa) CH, Austin CH, Phillip CH, Brian (Leah) CH, Ruban (Shalane) CH, Stacey CH, Allan CH. We the family apologize for any names that were missed.

Eugene was raised in Iisksiinaasiimii (Bug Juice Drinkers Clan) area. In his early, Euge was raised by his grandparents (the late) Steve and Bertha. It was there he was taught how to ranch, fence, and brand.  He attended Glenwood school and graduated from 9th grade then went to attend Lethbridge LCI.  Euge joined the baseball team in Glenwood. That is where he found his love of the game; Euge was an exceptional pitcher and 1st baseman. Some of the teams he was a part of were: The War Bonnets, The Tribe, United, The Gunz, and The Blues. Euge always made an effort to be at every game so he could show his skills on the field, playing ball brought him to all kinds of places such as BC, Prince George, Manitoba, Invermeer and a couple of places in the states. He always had lots of stories to come home with and share with family and friends about his ball and his travels.

Euge worked as a carpenter with all the Crying Head boys in renovations on houses and roof repairs, Growing up he travelled to different places for camp meetings with his grandparents and even played the drums and guitar at some of the camp meetings he attended, Euge was also in a band with his grandpa (the late) Phillip Sr. Aberdeen.  One of his mom’s favourite memories of him being at church with her as a little boy was when they would attend church and he was one that would stay inside and listen to the word of God unlike the other kids running around outside.  As Euge got older he tried his best to attend church and camp meetings, but would always be at his spot at the table reading his bible. Euge was always so helpful and always lended a hand helping set up Auntie Crystal and Martin with the tents.

Eugene liked his music, he was always jamming out to his tunes old and new, he would have you sit there and say check out this song. That’s what he had in common with his sons Dallion and Easton was all the music they would sit and listen to. Euge learned how to cook at a young age and he was a really good cook ever since he would be making food for his family and friends. Euge was blessed with 10 children and 10 grandchildren, he loved each one of them with all his heart and always wanted the best for them all. Euge had lots of love to give and show for all his kids and grandkids, each one had a special bond with their dad and papa. He will be missed dearly by all who got to know our gentle giant.

Eugene was predeceased by his grandparents; Steve and Bertha Crying Head, Phillip Sr., Daisy Aberdeen; his dad, Gabriel Aberdeen and his son Skylar Wells.
