Leo Demont Anderson (Monty), beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and devoted servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 13, 1936, Leo lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and unwavering faith. He was the proud father of three children, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a loving partner to his wife, Janet Anderson.

His life was a testament to service, marked by his completion of seven missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Salt Lake City (Genealogy), Denver Colorado, Missouri visitor center and Church Service mission with Family Services in Calgary as well as his tenure as an Elders Quorum President, Bishops, High Counsel and others.
His commitment to family and community was further reflected in his role with the Home and School Association.

Leo was known for his caring and supportive nature. He loved the Gospel deeply and cherished his family above all. His legacy of love and service continues to inspire all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Anderson, and his daughter, Kimberlee Anderson Wirig. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Anderson, who passed away 6 months ago, and his daughter, Kitrena Anderson Hay, who passed away in 2000.

The Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hill Spring, Alberta on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.  Friends may meet the family from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment to follow at the Hill Spring Cemetery.
