JACINTA (Bebe-akii) BEAR/BLACK PLUME was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the age of 65 years.
Bebe-akii was born on May 20, 1951. At the age of 2 years old Bee-akii was adopted by the late Bob and Suzette Black Plume. She resided in Lavern on the the Blood Reserve most of her life.
Bebe-akii is survived by: caregiver Lucecilia (Timothy) Thunder. Adopted siblings: Horace Shouting, Kaily Bird, Kim Black Plume, Ruben Manychief and Anne Cat Face. Adopted grandchildren: Dakota, Miles, Austin Oka and Cassandra Big Swallow. Her biological sister Julia Spotted Bull, Neice Lori and Nephew. Also her sister Lucy Black Plume and her brother Raymond Black Plume.
Bebe-akii enjoyed travelling for the Lord, she attended many camp meetings all over the United States and Canada. She enjoyed singing in church. After grandma passed away, she took the role of a mother to all her nieces and nephews. She was a kind hearted woman, she never turned anyone away who needed her help.
Bebe-akii had a close relationship and special bond with her late-mother Suzette Black Plume, they were inseparable. She taught her many skills, like how to be a homemaker. She attended many traditional ceremonies with her parents Bob and Suzette Black Plume.
Bebe-akii will be missed by everyone she came across. She was loved by family, friends and all that knew her. She enjoyed picking mint, sage and berries with her siblings and family. Her smile and laughter will be missed. Bebe-akii will be dearly missed by each life she touched and we are all enriched by her unforgettable personality, and compassion.
Bebe-akii was predeceased by her biological parents Joe Bear and Ethel Iron Shirt. Her loving parents Bob and Suzette Black Plume. Brother: Joe and Emil Bear, Cecil, Harrison and Horace Black Plume. Her sisters: Irene Day Rider, Cecile Whiteman, Julia Shouting, Janey Hairy Bull, and numerous nieces and nephew and relatives.
Bebe-akii is survived by her extended families: Black Plumes, Soops, Goodstrikers, Paces, Iron Shirts, Bears, Day Riders, Manyfingers. Special thanks to all the staff at the Cardston Auxillary Hospital.
A Family Service will be at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Thursday, July 28th at 5:00 p.m. The Wake Service will be at the Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Thursday, July 28th from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be at the Senator Gladstone Hall on Friday, July 29th at 11:00 am.
